Stainless Alloys

Whether you need commercial or specially tested products, our shelves are stocked with a complete line of stainless bare wire and coated electrodes, all available with Certification to the latest AWS Specification. Most products are tested to the latest ASME Section III and Military specifications and are available for immediate shipment.

Arcos electrodes are packaged in hermetically sealed metal cans in 3/32", 1/8", 5/32" and 3/16" diameters with Types -15, -16 and -17 available from stock.

Bare wire alloys are available in sizes from .020" through .187" diameters. Material is packaged as - 2, 10, 30, 33 and 40 lb Spools; 250, 500 and 800 lb Premier Paks; 50 or 60 lb Coils for submerged arc welding.

12", 14", 18" and 36" TIG Wire is single flag tagged, double flag tagged or ink jet printed. Special color coding and tagging requirements are available upon request.

Nickel Alloys

Our in-house formulation, extrusion, drawing and manufacturing capabilities make Arcos the premier supplier of customized high-integrity alloys in the welding industry. Arcos electrodes are available in 3/32", 1/8", 5/32" and 3/16" diameters in hermetically sealed cans.

Our R & D has provided the industry with the most widely accepted ENiCrFe-3 (Arcos 8N12). The reformulated nickel alloy electrodes are widely accepted throughout the industry.

Consumable Weld Inserts

Arcos and Electric Boat Division designed the Consumable Weld Insert. Since then, millions of feet and preformed rings have been used by the U.S. Navy for the construction of our nuclear fleet. Consumable inserts provide the highest quality root pass for welds that require radiography. With this proven reliability, they have gained acceptance throughout the commercial industries as well.

Preformed fitted rings are furnished in standard pipe schedules with an overlap. These rings are designated Style B in the Military and AWS specifications. Split rings, Style C, are supplied with tolerances to fit special customer requirements.

Arcos Consumable Insert material can also be furnished in standard 50-foot lengths wound on a 12-inch rim, packed in a sturdy cardboard container for easy storage and identification. Insert coils are designated Style A in accordance with the AWS and Military specifications.

Arcos inserts are available in all grades of stainless steel, nickel alloys, carbon steel and chrome moly. Most other alloys may be made into consumable weld inserts in ring form or continuous footage on coils.
